Axel Marschall will be assuming management responsibility for Sales at the European DB Schenker Rail Group and will become the Member of the Board of Management of DB Schenker Rail Deutschland AG responsible for Sales from February 1st. Marschall (46) has performed this function on a provisional basis since the departure of Karsten Sachsenröder in November of last year. Marschall was previously the head of the Automotive Industry Sector in rail freight and has been the CEO of DB Schenker Rail Automotive GmbH since 2009.
